We’re Mike and Tasha — a husband-and-wife photography and videography team behind Black Raven Film Studio.
Mike and Tasha, owners of Black Raven Film Studio, are a married couple based out of the Upstate of South Carolina. We are both alumni of Full Sail University, where we went through the Digital Cinematography Bachelor's degree program. Videography, photography, storytelling, and art have always been a part of who we are — long before we desired to make it our profession.
We’ve been creating and editing pictures and videos since our teenage years, originally just as a hobby fueled by our love for movies — especially horror. Back then, we never imagined it would turn into something more. Over time, that passion grew into a purpose: capturing real moments and turning them into lasting memories for others.
As a family with three children, we understand how quickly time moves and how important it is to hold onto the moments that matter most. Our own story isn’t perfect — we were married in a courthouse, with inmates nearby jokingly telling us not to go through with it (a story we laugh about to this day). It’s those kinds of real, imperfect, human moments that shape who we are — and why we care so much about what we do.
Because of that, we approach every session with intention. Whether it’s a wedding, a couple, a family, or something more personal, our goal is simple: to create something meaningful, honest, and lasting. We strive to give our clients the kind of memories we wish we had more of ourselves.
At the end of the day, this is more than just photos or videos to us — it’s about preserving moments you’ll never get back, in a way you’ll never forget.
